ABOUT.
Hi, I'm Kat - a Level 3 sports massage therapist, offering sports and holistic massage in Newbury.
My passion for massage therapy and its holistic benefits came about after I suffered a back injury which almost cost me my career as a Paramedic.
I used massage treatments to help minimise my pain and aid my recovery, and this experience gave me an insight into how valuable massage treatments can be for a variety of issues. ​​​​​​

To this day, I still have monthly massages for my own maintenance and wellbeing, helping me to de-stress, remain physically well, and indulge in some much needed ‘me’ time.

​Career wise, I have worked for over 20 years in the NHS, spending most of that time in the ambulance service as a Paramedic and more recently moving on to a new role at Great Western Hospital where I train NHS staff in resuscitation.
​
​Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my wonderful friends and family, and you’ll often find me travelling to new places to enjoy beautiful landscapes, sample delicious local food, and meet new people.
Other hobbies include a love of reading (especially thrillers), settling down to watch a good film, and a fondness of fresh air, long walks, and pub lunches (usually in the same afternoon!)

I love cats and have a very timid but cuddly and chunky tabby cat (who of course does not come in the treatment room).
I'm a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and remain committed to developing and enhancing my skills. My insurance is also provided by the FHT, so you can visit me safe in the knowledge that I prioritise keeping my clients and myself safe.
